OUR TEAM
Founded in 2019, Legion has evolved into one of the most innovative real estate companies in the Triangle. Because of strong leadership and visionary collaboration, Legion has grown from a consulting services company into a versatile, vertically integrated real estate development operator.
LEE BOWMAN
Principal
Lee Bowman is a principal of Legion Company, a strategic planning and advisory services firm focused on the development of real estate assets, including management and marketing operations in the private and public sectors (i.e., non-profits). Mr. Bowman has more than 20 years of experience in project management, corporate development, design, construction and operations management.
Much of his experience was gained as senior manager for the Triangle Division of Newland Real Estate Group, a national real estate development and advisory firm specializing in large-scale, mixed-use master planned communities. Lee oversaw all aspects of residential and commercial development at Briar Chapel and Wendell Falls focusing on planning, engineering, construction, entitlements, regulatory compliance and community relations.
Prior to his role at Newland, Lee was director of operations at Pinehurst Resort, where he managed national golf championships, including the 1999 and 2005 U.S. Open Championships. A native of the North Carolina Sandhills, Lee met his wife, Jennifer in Pinehurst and they spent a couple of years in the DC area in the early 2000s before returning to North Carolina.
Currently, Mr. Bowman serves on the Chatham YMCA Board, the Advisory Board for the UNC Center for Excellence in Community Mental Health, and is the president of the Durham/Orange/Chatham Homebuilders Association.
